How it works
InBody uses bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA) to measure muscle, fat, and body water directly — not estimates like BMI.

Why it’s reliable
Results are typically within 3–5% of DEXA, the clinical reference method for body composition.

Key point
More detail. More consistency. Better decisions.

What it shows

Skeletal muscle mass per body segment (arms, legs, trunk) and left–right balance relative to body size.

Why it matters
Reveals muscular imbalances, asymmetries, and weak links that affect performance, posture, injury risk, and metabolic efficiency.
Core message

Total muscle is not enough — how muscle is distributed determines how well the body moves, performs, and stays resilient over time.

Basic rules to ensure the most accurate body composition measurement

01

Purpose of the test

  • The InBody scan is a non-invasive measurement of muscle, fat, and body water.

02

For accurate results

  • Avoid eating, drinking, or exercising for at least 2 hours before the test

  • Wait 30 minutes after a shower before scanning

  • For comparison, test at the same time of day and under similar conditions

03

Important notes

  • Not suitable for people with a pacemaker or implanted electronic devices

  • Pregnancy: InBody scans are not recommended

  • Menstrual cycle: Water retention can affect results; for comparison, test in the same phase of your cycle when possible

04

Safety note

  • If you have medical concerns, consult your healthcare professional before testing.
